Chettinad chicken pepper fry is a delicious chicken recipe which is simple and easy to prepare with few ingredients. Sauting process of this recipe is also very simple as we are doing all together, thus requires less time to prepare. If we are busy with any other work, just try this recipe as it is so quick in cooking.
- Chicken: 800 g
- Garlic: 5-6 cloves
- Ginger: 1 inch piece
- Onion: 2
- Tomato: 3
- Red Chilly Powder: 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder: 1 tbs
- Black peppercorns: 8-10
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves: 2-3 strings
- Oil: 2 tbs
- Coriander leaves: 2 tbs chopped
- Salt: to taste
- Heat oil in a kadai or wok, add chopped onion, garlic, ginger and curry leaves and saute till they start color changing.
- Now add red chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and saute for few seconds.
- Then add chicken pieces and mix well.
- Next add crushed peppercorns, mix well and saute for 5 minutes.
- Now add chopped tomatoes, salt and half cup of water and stir well.
- Add chopped coriander leaves , mix well and cover the lid and cook in medium flame for 10-12 minutes.
- Turn off the flame.
