Pine apple is one of the tastiest and healthiest fruit . A sweet made with pine apple combining with coconut, sugar, milk powder and grated almonds is more delicious recipe. Pine apple burfi is a traditional festive sweet dish especially during deepawali and dassara. As a sweet dish , it will be favorable for most of us.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Chopped pineapple: 2 cup
- Grated coconut: 2&1/2 cup
- Sugar: 3 cup
- Milk powder: 2 cup
- Butter: 25 g
- Lemon: 1
- Pine apple essence: 2 drops
- Grated almonds: 2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- In a nonstick pan or kadai, melt butter and add chopped pineapple pieces.
- Mix it well and add grated coconut pieces.
- Stir well and add sugar into it.
- Mix it well and cook in low flame till it thickens by stirring in interwals.
- Cooking in closed lid fastens cooking.
- When it thickens, add milk powder and lemon juice to it and stir well to get mixed.
- Cook by continuous stirring till they comes together from the sides of pan.
- You can add a pinch of yellow food color if you need a bright yellow color.
- Add 1 tbs of grated almonds and pineapple essence to it, mix well and turn of the flame.
- Spread ghee or butter in a tray and pour this mixture into it.
- Flatten the top with a knife and decorate with remaining chopped almonds or any other dry fruits. Allow it to cool.
- After cooling , you can cut into any shapes.
