Mocca Mousse Dessert With Crunchy Base

Mocca Mousse is a delicious chocolaty and creamy dessert with a chocolaty crunchy base. It is an ever loving and a variant dessert with a combination flavor of chocolate and coffee enriched with cream and custard. Its main highlight is having a crunchy chocolaty base of cornflakes and nuts.



INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Cornflakes: 3/4 cup
  2. Cashew nuts chopped: 1/4 cup
  3. Dark / cooking chocolate: 100 g
  4. Butter: 40 g
  5. Milk: 1/2 cup
  6. Custard powder: 1&1/2 tbs
  7. Instant coffee powder: 1&1/2 tsp
  8. Sugar: 1/2 cup
  9. China grass: 5 g
  10. Fresh cream: 1 cup
  11. Powdered sugar: 6 tbs
  12. Vanilla essence: 1/2 tsp
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • First we can prepare the crunchy base.
  • Mix cashew pieces and cornflakes together in a bowl.
  • Melt butter and 40 g of chocolate by double boiling method.
  • Pour this over cornflakes-cashew mixture and mix well.
  • Pour this to a pie dish, give a firm press and refrigerate to get set.
  • Now we can prepare mousse.
  • Soak chinagrass in half glass of water for 5-10 minutes and melt it. 
  • Mix milk, custard powder, instant coffee powder, half cup sugar and remaining chocolate in a thick-bottomed saucepan and cook by continuous stirring till it forms custard.
  • Add hot melted chinagrass to this mixture by filtering it.
  • Mix well and allow it to cool.
  • By the time we can prepare cream mixture.
  • Take a bowl and add 1 cup fresh cream, 6 tbs powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence.
  • Place this bowl over a tray with ice and beat well to get a fluffy cream.
  • Mix this cream mixture with custard and pour it over the crunchy base in the pie dish.
  • Allow it to set in refrigerator and decorate it with chocolate curls or cream.
Delicious dessert Mocca mousse with a chocolaty crunchy base is ready. Serve chilled.
