Mutton Paya Soup

Here comes a delicious warming Soup for the coming winter season with mutton paya. Here is simply awesome and are easily prepared. Try this healthy recipe to warm up your body.

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Mutton paya: 6-7
  2. Shallots :4-5
  3. Cinnamon: 1 inch
  4. Cloves: 3-4
  5. Bay leaf: 1
  6. Peppercorns: 4-5
  7. Pepper powder: 3/4 -1 tsp
  8. Ginger: 1/2 inch
  9. Garlic:4-5 cloves
  10. Green chilly: 1(slitted)
  11. Corn flour/ arrowroot powder: 1&1/2 tbs
  12. Oil: 1/2 tbs
  13. Salt: to taste 
  14. Coriander leaves: few
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Thoroughly clean the mutton paya.
  • Heat pressure cooker with oil.
  • Roast all whole spices in it for 1-2 minutes.
  • Now saute ginger- garlic- paste till it's raw smell moves.
  • Now saute shallots till it is translucent.
  • Add green chilly and saute for 30 seconds.
  • Now add paya and 3 cups of water along with pepper powder and salt.
  • You can adjust the spiciness to your taste.
  • Close the lid of pressure cooker and cook it for 40- 45 minutes in medium flame.
  • When the pressure escapes, open the lid .
  • Add water if required.
  • Allow it to boil.
  • Now mix cornflour or arrowroot powder in little water and add it to the above boiling soup.
  • Boil it for 10-12 minutes.
  • You can add more flour if required.
  • Taste for salt and spicy, add if required any.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and remove from flame.
Delicious, simple and healthy Mutton Paya Soup is ready, serve hot.
