Badami Chicken

Badami chicken is a wonderful recipe among chicken dishes. Addition of almond brings a nice flavor to the gravy. Presence of yogurt and coconut milk brings a creamy gravy. It is very simple but delicious recipe. 

Badami Chicken

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Chicken:1/2 kg
  2. Yogurt: 1/2 cup
  3. Onion: 2
  4. Ginger: 1 piece
  5. Garlic: 5
  6. Almond: 10
  7. Cashew:5
  8. Chilly powder: 1 tbs
  9. Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  11. Coconut milk: 1/2 cup
  12. Oil: for sauting
  13. Salt: to taste
  14. Coriander leaves: 1/4 cup
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Prepare paste with almond, cashew, ginger, garlic and garam masala powder.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute onion in it.
  • Now add the ground paste along with 3-4 tbs water and saute till oil seems clear through sides.
  • Then add chicken pieces along with yogurt, chilly, turmeric powders and salt to it.
  • Mix well and cook in low flame with closed lid.
  • When chicken pieces are cooked well, add thick coconut milk, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
lovely, creamy Badami chicken is ready. Serve hot with any thing.
