Broasted chicken are lovely fried chicken recipe with a crispy outer coating. It has become common and favorable for everyone especially our little ones. But now a days latest news gives unfavorable healthy state of these chicken. But we cannot avoid it completely. So just give a try on this homemade broasted chicken which tastes even more.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Chicken: 10 large pieces
- Buttermilk:2 cup
- Ginger & garlic paste: 1&1/2 tbs
- Pepper powder:1&1/2 tsp
- Red chilly flakes:1 tbs
- All purpose flour: 1&1/2 cup
- Corn flour:1/2 cup
- Cornflakes: !/2 cup
- Chilly powder:1 tsp
- Oregano:a pinch
- Baking powder:a pinch
- Crushed onion:1/2 tsp
- Egg: 1
- Chilly sauce: 1 tsp
- Milk:1/2 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Oil:for frying
- Prepare marinade with 2 cup buttermilk, 1 tbs ginger-garlic paste, 1 tbs pepper powder, 1 tbs chilly flakes, a pinch of oregano and salt.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with this marinade and keep in refrigerator for 5-6 hours.
- Prepare egg coating by mixing 1/2 cup milk, 1 egg, 1 tsp chilly sauce and little salt and keep aside.
- Prepare coating mixture with 1&1/2 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup cornflour , 1/2 cup cornflakes, 1 tsp chilly powder, a pinch of baking powder, 1/2 tsp crushed onion, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, and 1/2 tbs ginger-garlic paste.
- After marination period, take out from refrigerator, wipe out excess water from chicken pieces if any.
- Now first dip on egg mixture then roll it on coating mixture.
- Again repeat same steps to give one more coating .
- Boil oil on a wok and deep fry the chicken pieces both sides till they get brownish color.
- Cook on low flame otherwise inner part of chicken won't get cooked.
