Chicken Manchurian

Here comes a easy, quick and awesome chicken recipe that everyone will enjoy till last drop. Here we marinate and keep aside for 1 hour, if you are in urge, you can skip that too. It is an ever loving recipe that are perfect for unexpected guests too.

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Chicken: 1/2 kg( cut into small pieces)
  2. Onion: 2 large
  3. Capsicum: 1
  4. Green chilly: 2-3
  5. Ginger-garlic paste: 1&1/2 tbs
  6. Egg: 1
  7. Chilly powder: 2 tsp
  8. Pepper powder: 2 tsp
  9. Soy sauce: 2&1/2 tsp
  10. Tomato ketchup: 2 tbs
  11. Corn flour: 3 tbs
  12. Spring onion: 2-3 tbs
  13. Sugar: 1/2 tsp
  14. Salt: to taste
  15. Oil: 4 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Prepare marinade with 1 egg, 3/4 tbs ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp chilly powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1&1/2 tsp soysauce, 2 tbs corn flour and salt.
  • Marinate chicken pieces in this marinade for 45-60 minutes. If you are in hurry, you can skip this period or reduce the time.
  • Heat oil in a wok and fry chicken pieces in it. Donot over fry the pieces which may turn the pieces little hard.
  • Take out the chicken pieces and saute remaining ginger-garlic paste in same oil. You can add more oil if required.
  • Cut onion and capsicum into cubes.
  • Add this to above oil along with slit green chilly, and 2 tbs of spring onion.
  • Saute for 3-4 minutes. No need of over sauting for Manchurian.
  • Now add remaining chilly powder, pepper powder and saute for 1-2 minutes to remove it's raw smell.
  • Now pour  soy sauce, tomato ketchup and salt to it.
  • Add 1-1&1/2 cup of water and allow it to boil. Also pour if marinade left.
  • When it starts boiling ,pour cornflour diluted in little water to it. Stir cook till the gravy thickens. 
  • Now add fried chicken pieces and stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Taste and add salt if needed.
  • Remove from fire and serve hot.
Delicious ever loving Chicken Manchurian is ready , serve hot with chopped spring onion on top.
