Idichakka or Tender jackfruit is baby jackfruit before it cloves or seed matures. It should be the starting stage of cloves or seeds which we can cut into tiny pieces easily. Here comes a wonderful, easy and quick recipe of thoran with these tender jackfruit. Give a try upon it.

- Idichakka or tender jackfruit: half of one
- Chilly powder: 1 tsp
- Coriander powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Onion: 1 small
- Tomato: 1/4 of 1
- Curry leaves: 1 string
- Garlic: 3-4 cloves
- Dry red chilly: 1or 2
- Cumin seeds: 1/4 tsp
- Fenu greek seed: a pinch
- Coconut grated: 1/2 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: for seasoning
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Remove the outer shell of tender jackfruit, cut everything into small tiny pieces.
- Wash and drain them
- Now mix it with chilly, coriander and turmeric powders, salt.
- Add chopped tomato to it and mix well.
- Now cook them in a steamer. Or use can stir cook it but steam cook is better.
- In a wok or kadai, heat some oil and flitter fenugreek and cumin seeds in it.
- When it releases a nice smell, add crushed garlic , curry leaves and red chilly pieces to it.
- When garlic raw smell goes out, add chopped onion and saute well.
- Now add steamex jackfruit to it, stir mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add grated coconut , mix and cook another 5-6 minutes.
- Add salt if needed by tasting it.
- Remove from flame.
