Vermicelli Biriyani

Vermicelli is lovely ingredient that brings out delicious dishes while preparing. Here comes a awesome mouth-watering biriyani recipe with vermicelli. It is really wonderful, tasty and easy recipe, give a try upon it.




INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION 

  1. Vermicelli: 1/2 kg
  2. Chicken : 1/2 kg
  3. Onion: 4
  4. Tomato: 2
  5. Carrot: 1 large
  6. Garlic: 10 cloves
  7. Ginger: 2 inch
  8. Green chilly: 4
  9. Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
  10. Pepper powder: 3/4 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  12. Ghee: 6 TBS
  13. Lemon juice: 2 tsp
  14. Coriander leaves: 1/2 cup
  15. Mint leaves: 1/4 cup ( optional)
  16. Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION 
  • Heat 1-2 TBS ghee in a pan and slightly roast vermicelli in it.
  • Boil water in a pan and cook vermicelli with required salt.
  • Drain and combine 1 TBS ghee in it.
  • Cook chicken with little salt, turmeric and pepper powders, remove it's bones and cut into small pieces.
  • Peel off carrot , cut into small pieces and cook in little water and drain.
  • Heat  1&1/2 TBS ghee and saute onion in it.
  • When it reaches light brownish, add ginger-garlic and green chilly paste and saute till it's raw smell escapes.
  • Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till it mashes.
  • Next add coriander, mint( if using) leaves, and garam masala powder and stir well to get mixed.
  • Add cooked  chicken pieces, cooked carrot pieces and salt and combine well.
  • Now add cooked vermicelli and lemon juice and fold slowly to get combined.
  • Pour remaining ghee on top and serve hot.
  • You can also garnish it with roasted cashew, raisin or fried onion.
Delicious Vermicelli Biriyani is ready. Serve hot.
