Pumpkin Halwa

Pumpkin Halwa

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Pumpkin(ripened): 3/4 kg
  2. Ghee: 6 tbs
  3. Milk: 500 ml
  4. Sugar: 10-12 tbs
  5. Condensed milk: 3-4 tbs
  6. Cashew: 50 g

METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Remove skin of pumpkin and grate it.
  • Take a thick-bottomed pan and heat 3 tbs of ghee in it.
  • Roast cashew pieces in it and take out from ghee, keep aside.
  • Now add grated pumpkin to ghee in pan and saute till its water drains and changes the color.
  • Pour sugar and half of milk  to it and cook till it thicken by occasional stirring.
  • When it is about to drain, you have stir continuously, otherwise it may burn.
  • Now add remaining milk, condensed milk and ghee o it.
  • You can adjust sugar and condensed milk addition to your sweetness.
  • Stir well and cook till it driesup and reaches halwa consistency with continuous stirring.
  • All comes together without sticking, we need such consistency.
  • Add roasted cashew and combine it well.
  • Take a greased bowl and add the halwa into it.
  • Allow it to cool

Delicious soft sweet Pumpkin halwa is ready . Cut into squares and serve.
