Aloo Gobi / Cauliflower-Potato Masala

Aloo Gobi is a delicious vegetarian dish from Indian or Nepali cuisine. Cauliflower and potato are two delicious vegetables that all loves. A masala curry with the combination of these two vegetables comes out really delicious . It is a easy and quick recipe goes well with any thing, give a try on this.



INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Potato: 2
  2. Cauliflower: 1 small
  3. Onion: 2
  4. Tomato: 2
  5. Green chilly: 2
  6. Ginger: 2 tbs( cut into strips)
  7. Chilly powder: 2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder: 3/4 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder: 3/4 tsp
  11. Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
  12. Fennel seeds: 1 tsp
  13. Coriander leaves: 1/4 cup
  14. Oil: 1&1/2 tbs
  15. Salt: to taste.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Cook potatoes, remove its skin and cut into pieces.
  • Cut the cauliflower horizontally, cook , drain water and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a wok or saucepan, lightly roast fennel seeds, then add sliced onion and saute till it become soft.
  • Then add splitted green chilly, stripped ginger and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add chilly powder, coriander, powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, and salt, mix well and saute till a nice aroma releases.
  • Now add tomato pieces and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Next we have to put cooked cauliflower and potato pieces, mix well and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • Stir in coriander leaves and remove from flame.
Yummy Aloo gobi is ready , serve hot with anything.
