Shami kebab is a popular kebab variety from Indian, Pakisthani and Bangladeshi cuisine. It is a delicious and spicy kebab recipe with meat or fish. Here i prepared with beef. It is a combination of minsed meat and chanadal with little spice. It is served hot with rice or you can simply eat it with sauce or other dippings.
- Beef: 1 kg
- Chana Dal: 1 bowl
- Onion: 1 large
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 &1/2 tbs
- Green chilly: 4
- Chilly powder: 2 tsp
- Coriander powder: 2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
- Egg: 2
- Mint leaves: 1 bunch
- Coriander leaves: Half bunch
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: for frying
- Wash and drain beef and chana dal.
- Cook beef and chana dal along with onion, ginger-garlic paste, half of mint leaves, salt and required water in pressure cooker.
- Cook till it tender and dries up all water.
- Now mix chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, coriander leaves and remaining mint leaves , all together with beef mix
- Now allow it to cool and chopperize the mixture all together.
- Beat 1 egg and add into the kebab mix and combine well.
- Convert them into kebab shapes.
- Beat the second egg and dip each kebab in it .
- Shallow fry the kebabs in a frying pan with little oil.
