Hyderabadi Chicken Curry

Hyderabadi Chicken is a delicious chicken gravy recipe goes well with any dish. In this chicken are cooked in rich coconut gravy . It requires mostly available spices and other ingredients at our home. We use green chilly for its spicy.


Hyderabadi Chicken Recipe
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Chicken(small pieces): 250 g
  2. Onion: 2
  3. Garlic: 1 bulb
  4. Ginger: 1 piece
  5. Coconut milk: 1 cup
  6. Kuskus: 1/2 tsp
  7. Cloves: 3
  8. Cinnamon stick: 1 piece
  9. Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
  10. Cardamom: 3
  11. Green chilly: 6
  12. Grated coconut: 1 tbs
  13. Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  14. Sourless curd: 2 tbs
  15. Oil: 3 tbs
  16. Coriander leaves: 1 tbs
  17. Sal;t: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Grind kuskus, cumin, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, green chilly, grated coconut and turmeric powder together to make a fine paste.
  • Also prepare onion paste by grinding it.
  • Heat oil in a pan and saute onion paste till it become light brownish.
  • Now add ginger-garlic paste and saute till its raw smell goes off.
  • Add prepared spice paste to it and mix well.
  • Now add chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Add salt also.
  • When oil seems through the sides , pour coconut milk over it, mix well and cook with closed lid in low flame.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • When the chicken pieces cooked well, add curd and coriander leaves, mix well and turn off the flame.
Delicious gravy Hyderabadi chicken is ready. Serve hot with anything.
