Hyderabadi Chicken is a delicious chicken gravy recipe goes well with any dish. In this chicken are cooked in rich coconut gravy . It requires mostly available spices and other ingredients at our home. We use green chilly for its spicy.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Chicken(small pieces): 250 g
- Onion: 2
- Garlic: 1 bulb
- Ginger: 1 piece
- Coconut milk: 1 cup
- Kuskus: 1/2 tsp
- Cloves: 3
- Cinnamon stick: 1 piece
- Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
- Cardamom: 3
- Green chilly: 6
- Grated coconut: 1 tbs
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Sourless curd: 2 tbs
- Oil: 3 tbs
- Coriander leaves: 1 tbs
- Sal;t: to taste
- Grind kuskus, cumin, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, green chilly, grated coconut and turmeric powder together to make a fine paste.
- Also prepare onion paste by grinding it.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute onion paste till it become light brownish.
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and saute till its raw smell goes off.
- Add prepared spice paste to it and mix well.
- Now add chicken pieces and mix well.
- Add salt also.
- When oil seems through the sides , pour coconut milk over it, mix well and cook with closed lid in low flame.
- Stir occasionally.
- When the chicken pieces cooked well, add curd and coriander leaves, mix well and turn off the flame.
