Banana Kums

Banana Kums / Kaipola is a delicious malabari snack recipe. Its a combination of  roasted banana and egg. We are not using all purpose flour for this, thus it is a healthier snack for any occassion. It is easy to prepare with few ingredients but seems richer in taste.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Banana (large): 4
  2. Egg: 5
  3. Sugar: 5 tbs
  4. Cardamom: 1 
  5. Ghee: 1/4 cup
  6. Cashew: 2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Heat a non-stick pan, melt ghee.
  • Roast banana pieces(chopped into small pieces) till it become brownish.,
  • Take it off and roast cashew pieces in same ghee.
  • Mix egg and sugar . Mix it till it combines well and foams.
  • Now add roasted banana and cashew and a crushed cardamom, mix well.
  • You can also use roasted raisins if you want.
  • Heat a pressure cooker or a non-stick pan, add 1 tbs of ghee and pour the prepared mixture into it.
  • Cook in low flame with closed lid. If you are using pressure cooker, don't put its weight.
  • When it cooks well(take 5-10 minutes), open the lid and allow it to cook other side also.
Delicious Kaipola / banana kums is ready. Its really easy and awesome, have a try on it.
