Idly is a lovely breakfast dish. We can prepare a lots of variety dishes using idly batter such as sweet paniyaram, spicy paniyaram, bonda, stuffed idly . Here comes a recipe in which we prepare idly along with little chicken masala. No other gravy or chuttney is needed while consuming this dish.

- Idly batter:2 cups
- Onion: 2
- Ginger paste: 1 tsp
- Garlic paste: 1 tsp
- Minsed chicken: 1 cup( cooked with little turmeric, pepper powders and salt and minsed)
- Turmeric powder:1/2 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
- Chicken masala: 1/2 tsp
- Carrot: 1 small
- Coriander leaves: little
- Salt: to taste
- Heat a pan , add little oil and saute onion till it changes to light brownish.
- Now add ginger and garlic paste and saute till its raw smell goes off.
- Add all spice powders and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add minsed chicken and grated carrot and mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add salt and coriander leaves, mix well and turn of the flame.
- Now take the idly plates, add 1 tsp of prepared chicken masala on each hole and pour idly batter over it.
- Steam it for 10 minutes or till it cooks well.
Note: you can also use jeeragashala rice or any other gheerice instead of idly batter. Soak 2 cups of unboiled rice for 2-3 hour and grind it using 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 egg with little salt. Use this batter instead of idly batter.
