Vermicelli Cutlet Recipe


Cutlets are lovable dish among snack category. Usually we prepare cutlets with meat masala or with vegetables. Here is a  variety cutlet prepared with vermicelli combined with mashed potato and few other ingredients.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Vermicelli: 1/2 cup
  2. Potato: 1 large
  3. Bread crumbs: 3/4 cup
  4. Green chilly: 2
  5. Lemon juice: 1/2 tbs
  6. Crushed peanut: 1/4 cup( you can use crushed cashew as well)
  7. Salt: to taste
  8. Oil: for deep frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Cook vermicelli in boiling water with little salt, cook till vermicelli reaches softness.( requires 4-5 minutes).
  • Strain the excess water and keep aside.
  • Cook potato and mash it well.
  • In a mixing bowl, add cooked vermicelli( allow it to reach room temperature), mashed potato, chopped green chilly, bread crumbs, crushed peanuts, lemon juice and salt. Mix it well to get a smooth dough for cutlet. If you feel it little sticky, add more bread crumbs.
  • Convert the dough into cutlet shaped patties.
  • Heat the oil and deep fry the cutlets in low flame.
  • Fry till they reach golden brown color.
Delicious Vermicelli cutlet is ready. Serve hot with tomato sauce, chutney or mayonnaise.
