Semolina / Rawa Sheera Recipe



Sheera is a dessert or sweet snack prepared with semolina which delicious and lovable dish. It can be prepared by simple method within few minutes. It is a healthy snack especially for our little ones.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Semolina: 1 cup
  2. Milk: 1/2 cup
  3. Water: 1/2 cup
  4. Ghee: 1/2 cup
  5. Sugar: 1 cup
  6. Cardamom powder: 1 tsp
  7. Raisins chopped: 1 tbs
  8. Cashew chopped: 1 tbs
  9. Yellow food color / saffron : little( optional)
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Heat a pan and add ghee in it.
  • When it heats, add chopped cashews and raisins and roast it.( roast till raisins puff up).
  • Add semolina and cook till it reaches a light golden color and release a pleasant aroma by stirring.
  • Soak saffron in little milk or mix yellow color in milk.
  • Add sugar to it, stir till it combines well.
  • Now add 1/2 cup of warm water and stir well.
  • When it dries up, add warm milk to it and cook by continuous stirring.
  • Add saffron milk to it and combine well.
  •  Now add cardamom powder to it and stir well to reach everywhere.
  • When it dries up all liquid, turn off the flame.
  • Whole cooking should be in low flame with continuous stirring.
Delicious yummy Semolina sheera is ready. Either mould it or scoop it to serve. You can also garnish with roasted cashews and raisins while serving.
