Wheat is a rich source of manganese and dietary fiber. It has a deep nutritional profile. It is healthy for diabetic patients as well as kids too. Here is a recipe for wheat dosa. It is simple , healthy and nutritious. You can also use wheat flour in place of whole wheat. You can also use only wheat for this preparation but addition of white rice enhances its taste.
- Wheat: 1/2 cup
- White rice: 1/2 cup
- Coconut: 1/4 cup
- Salt : to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Soak wheat and rice for 4-5 hours or overnight.
- Grind those along with grated coconut to fine batter with water.
- You can use wheat flour in place wheat.
- Prepare a batter having thickness that of dosa batter and add salt to taste.
- Cook one laddle at a time in a dosa pan or nonstick pan.
- Cooking one side is enough.
- When it dries off , remove from the pan and repeat same steps for whole batter.
- Brush little oil if you are using dosa pan.
