Sev / Plain Mixture Recipe




Sev/ plain mixture is a simple crispy snack that we all love to eat at any time. It resembles small pieces of noodles prepared by besan flour. Its preparation is very simple. Lets have a try for our loved ones.
INGREDIENTS OF PREPARATION
  1. Besan: 1 cup
  2. Chilly powder: 2 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt: to taste
  5. Asafoetida: 1/2 tsp
  6. Oil: 2 tbs
  7. Water: for kneading
METHOD OF PREPARATION



  • In a bowl, add besan flour, chilly powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt , mix well together to reach everywhere.
  • Add oil and give a mix to get crumb texture.





  • Knead it with water to get smooth dough.
  • Fill sevnari or idiyappam press having small hole disc with dough and role it directly to boiling oil.
  • Do not overlap it. 
  • Cook both sides and take off from oil and drain it.
  • Give a gentle crush using hand and store in air-tight container.

    Delicious, crispy sev is ready.
