Sev/ plain mixture is a simple crispy snack that we all love to eat at any time. It resembles small pieces of noodles prepared by besan flour. Its preparation is very simple. Lets have a try for our loved ones.
INGREDIENTS OF PREPARATION- Besan: 1 cup
- Chilly powder: 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Asafoetida: 1/2 tsp
- Oil: 2 tbs
- Water: for kneading
- In a bowl, add besan flour, chilly powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida and salt , mix well together to reach everywhere.
- Add oil and give a mix to get crumb texture.

- Knead it with water to get smooth dough.
- Fill sevnari or idiyappam press having small hole disc with dough and role it directly to boiling oil.
- Do not overlap it.
- Cook both sides and take off from oil and drain it.
- Give a gentle crush using hand and store in air-tight container.
Delicious, crispy sev is ready.
