Lady's finger is the most nutritional value vegetables which helps in diabetic control, improves immunity, good in pregnancy, helps in weight loss, digestion, etc. A gravy prepared with it in combination of coconut will have more nutritional value. Here is a simple recipe with few ingredients but high in taste.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Lady's finger: 6-8
- Onion: 1 small
- Tomato: 1 small
- Coconut: 1/2 cup
- Chilly powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: little
- Chop lady's finger, onion and tomato into small pieces.
- Heat some oil in a pan and saute chopped vegetables all together they cooks well.
- Same time , in another pan, roast grated coconut till they get reddish brown color.
- Then add chilly powder, turmeric powder to it and roast again for 4-5 minutes by stirring .
- Allow it to cool and grind it with little water.
- Pour the ground coconut spice mix into the sauted vegetables and cook.
- Add salt also.
- When it heats up, turn off the flame. Never allow it to boil.
