Lady's finger Mappaas Recipe


Lady's finger is the most nutritional value vegetables which helps in diabetic control, improves immunity, good in pregnancy, helps in weight loss, digestion, etc. A gravy prepared with it in combination of coconut will have more nutritional value. Here is a simple recipe with few ingredients  but high in taste.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Lady's finger: 6-8
  2. Onion: 1 small
  3. Tomato: 1 small
  4. Coconut: 1/2 cup
  5. Chilly powder: 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt: to taste
  8. Oil: little
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Chop lady's finger, onion and tomato into small pieces.
  • Heat some oil in a pan and saute chopped vegetables all together  they cooks well.
  • Same time , in another pan, roast grated coconut till they get reddish brown color.
  • Then add chilly powder, turmeric powder to it and roast again for 4-5 minutes by stirring .
  • Allow it to cool and grind it with little water.
  • Pour the ground coconut spice mix into the sauted vegetables and cook.
  • Add salt also.
  • When it heats up, turn off the flame. Never allow it to boil.
Delicious Lady's finger mappaas is ready. Serve hot any time.
