French Fries Recipe



 French fries or finger chips are soft crispy sticks prepared from potato. They are eaten alone as a snack or along with fried chicken, burger or any other such food as a side dish. Our kids loves it eat it alone. It is simple recipe but are more delicious and crispy, have a try on this recipe. As it is prepared with potatoes and no other artificial substance is added, its consumption is healthy and weight gaining too for kids.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Potato: 1 large
  2. Corn flour: 1-2 tbs
  3. Salt: 3/4 tsp
  4. Oil: for deep-frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Potatoes are peeled and sliced into sticks. Wash the sticks and keep aside.
  • Boil water (that covers the potato stick) with salt.
  • When it boils, add potato sticks and cook closed for 5 minutes or until a tooth pick enters easily.
  • Don't cook more. It will break or damage the sticks.
  • Drain it on tissue or cotton cloth.
  • Place those in a dry bowl having lid, mix 1 tbs of corn flour thoroughly to reach on each stick.
  • Place it in freezer with lid closed for 20-30 minutes. You can also use resealable bags for this purpose, it requires less time for freezing(10-15).
  • Take out from the refrigerator , sprinkle a half tbs of cornflour over it again.
  • Boil oil in a pan and deep-fry the potato sticks, till it cooks well.
  • Take out from oil and drain it in tissue or cotton cloth.
Delicious, soft, crispy French fries or potato finger chips are ready. Serve hot for better taste.
