Chikoo / Sapodilla Ice-cream



 

Chikoo also known as sapodilla  are seasonal fruits with variant and lovable taste. It is a soft easily digestible fruit having good source of minerals like copper, potassium, vitamins, etc. They also prevents cancer causing toxins. Ice-creams are lovable for all of us. Its preparation with lovable chikoos enhances its taste. Chikoo ice-creams with bitable chikoo pieces are delicious.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Milk: 1 cup
  2. Chikoo: 1/2 kg
  3. Condensed milk: 1/2 tin
  4. Whipping cream powder: 2 packet / 4 cup whipped cream
  5. Thick / fresh cream: 200 ml
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Peel off chikoos and puree them using mixer grinder by keeping 3-4 chikoos aside.
  • Add little milk if needed while grinding.
  • Whip the whipping cream powder to get fluffy, smooth whipped cream.
  • Add condensed milk and beat it to get mixed.
  • Now add fresh or thick cream and again beat to mix well.
  • Now add chikoo puree or paste and fold well to reach every where.
  • Refrigerate it for 4-5 hours to get set in closed container.
  • Take out and give a beat for 4-5 minutes to avoid crystal formation.
  • Take the remaining chikoo, peel off and are cut into small pieces.
  • These chikoo pieces are added to ice-cream mixture and folf well to reach uniformly.
  • Again place in refrigerator for 4-5 hour or until it sets well in closed container.
  • We are using closed container to avoid crystal formation.
Delicious mouth watering Chikoo ice-cream is ready. Scoop it and serve.
