Cashew Macaroons Recipe



Cashew macaroons are sweet crispy snack prepared with egg white, sugar and cashew bites. They are originated from Mangalore, Karnataka but spread everywhere. It is very delicious, one of my favorite snack, my family's too. It is simple recipe with few ingredients. Children will love it surely.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Egg white: 1
  2. Sugar: 1 cup
  3. Cashew: 1 cup
  4. Cardamom powder: 1/4
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Separate egg white from yolk. No trace of yolk remains.
  • Finely powder the sugar.
  • Coarsely chop the cashews into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, beat the egg white till a stiff peak forms.
  • Then add 1 tbs of sugar each time while beating and continue beating till complete sugar uses.
  • Then add cardamom powder and beat again.
  • Now fold in chopped cashews.
  • Preheat a oven to 90 degree.
  • Line parchment paper in a baking tray or simply grease a baking tray.
  • Place 1 tbs of the prepared mix each time in baking tray and proceed the steps till all mix is used.
  • Cashew macaroons doesn't have any particular shape.
  • Place it in the lower rack of oven and bake them for 40-50 minutes or until it become crispy.
  • Take out off oven and let them cool.
  • Store in air-tight container.
Delicious sweet crispy Cashew Macaroons are ready. Enjoy eating.
