Sweet Potato Sugiyan Recipe



Sweet potato is  starchy sweet tasting tuberous root vegetable. We love eating it simply by just cooking it because of its sweetness. A snack or sweet made with it will be more sweet and delicious. As a sweet snack kids will surely love it. It is easy to prepare, need less time and ingredients and healthy too.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Sweet potato(cooked and powdered): 2 cup
  2. Coconut: 1 cup
  3. Sugar: 3/4 cup
  4. Rice powder: 3/4 cup
  5. Ghee: 2 tbs
  6. Cardomom powdered: 5
  7. Oil: for frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Roast coconut in ghee till a pleasant aroma comes or it become light brownish.
  • In a non stick pan,cook sweet potato with sugar till its water dries completely.
  • Then add cardomom powder and roasted coconut.
  • Mix well and turn off the flame.
  • Convert it into small balls of lemon size.
  • Make batter of rice powder with water . No need of too thick.
  • Its thickness should be like of dosa batter.color.
  • Roll the balls in rice batter and fry it till it becomes light brownish.
Delicious and tasty sweet potato sugiyan is ready. Lets have a try on it.
