Squid is a lovable seafood dish. A dish with it is more delicious. Here is a recipe with squid whose flavor is enhanced in the presence of coconut. It is a simple recipe with few ingredients and steps but tastes more.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Squid: 250 g
- Chilly powder: 2 tsp
- Coriander powder:1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Onion: 1
- Tomato: 1
- Garlic-ginger paste: 1/2 tsp
- Green chilly: 1
- Coconut: 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Coriander leaves: to garnish
- Curry leaves: 1 string
- Heat a pan and add squid pieces, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
- Mix and cook till squid cooks well.
- In another pan, saute onion till it become transparent.
- Then add curry leaves and ginger-garlic paste, sliced green chilly and saute till its raw smell goes off.
- Now add tomatoes and cook till it mashes.
- Add coriander powder and mix well.
- Then add the cooked squid along with its thick gravy, give a firm stir on it.
- Now add grated coconut to it, mix well.
- Cook it in low flame till coconut gets cooked.
- Add chopped coriander leaves over it and turn off the flame.
