Greasy Garam Chicken Recipe


Greasy garam chicken is a delicious variety recipe for chicken gravy. It is not too spicy but have the flavor of different masala and cashew paste and pieces of eggs. It goes well with any dish like poratta, kuboos, nan, bhatoora chappathi, palappam.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Chicken: 1 kg
  2. Onion: 2 cup
  3. Tomato: 2 cup
  4. Capsicum: 1 cup
  5. Chilly powder: 1 tsp
  6. Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
  8. Cumin: 1 tsp
  9. Green chilly: 4
  10. Ginger: 1/2 inch piece
  11. Mace(jathipathri): 1
  12. Ghee: 1 tbs
  13. Cashew paste: 4 tsp
  14. Egg: 2-3
  15. Cinnamon: 3 inch piece
  16. Cloves: 6
  17. Cardamom: 3
  18. Oil : sauting
  19. Coriander leaves: little
  20. Salt : to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION

    • Grind chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, cumin, green chilly, ginger, mace and salt together to get a paste.
    • Marinate the chicken pieces with above grounded paste and keep for at least half an hour.
    • Heat a sauce pan, add some oil and saute 3/4 of onion chopped.
    • When it become transparent, add capsicum, tomatoes and cashew paste to it and mix well.
    • Saute it till tomatoes cooks well and add chicken pieces to it.
    • Give a mix , add required amount of hot water and cook the chicken pieces.
    • In another pan , add ghee and roast coriander leaves and remaining onion separately and powder it.
    • Boil eggs and cut into pieces.
    • Roast cinnamon, cloves and cardamom and powder it. You can use garam masala powder instead.
    • When the gravy thickens, turn of the flame.
    • Pour the chicken gravy into a serving bowl, add roasted coriander powder, onion powder,and masala powder over it and mix well.
    • Garnish it with egg pieces , little cashews and coriander leaves and serve hot.
    Delicious Greasy Garam Chicken is ready . Serve hot and enjoy its taste.
