Coin Poratta Recipe




Poratta is a dish most of the Keralites loves to eat. Here is a recipe for coin poratta which are small in size but tastes as well. Its a dish prepared by maida, egg and milk. It can be consumed at any time. 
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. All purpose flour(maida): 250 g( 1 cup)
  2. Egg: 1
  3. Oil: 4 tbs
  4. Baking soda: 1/8 tsp
  5. Milk: 1/4 cup
  6. Rice powder: 3 tbs
  7. Sugar: 1 tsp
  8. Salt : to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Mix maida with 1 tbs of oil, sugar, baking soda and salt.
  • Then add egg to it and mix a firm mix.
  • Now add milk little by little, and knead till we get a smooth dough like chapati.
  • Keep it for sometime and convert them into balls.
  • Roll the balls into thin sheets  by brushing oil over it.
  • Then spread little rice powder over it and fold it in zigzag manner and then to balls.
  • Again roll it by brushing oil over it.
  • Cook both sides in a hot frying pan with little oil.
  • Give a press on all sides to get the layers separated.
