Banana Bolly is a stuffed chapathi snack with sweetened banana-coconut mixture. Its a tea time snack. As a sweet snack , our kids will love it surely. As it is stuffed with banana and coconut, it is healthy also. It is a simple recipe, just have a try on it.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Banana: 2
- Coconut: 1/2 of 1
- Sugar : 1 cup
- Cardamom: 5
- All purpose flour(maida): 500 g
- Turmeric powder: a pinch
- Ghee: 1/4 cup
- Sugar powder: 1/4 cup
- Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Cook banana in steam and grind in mixer grinder without water.
- Grind grated coconut also.
- Heat a thick-bottomed pan and add some ghee on it.
- Saute grinded banana in ghee and then add coconut to it.
- Mix well and add sugar and cardamom powder .
- Mix and saute well .
- Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
- Meanwhile we can prepare chapathi dough.
- Mix maida with salt and turmeric powder .
- Prepare dough by adding water little by little.
- Then add little ghee over it and knead well.
- Convert it into balls of lemon size.
- Also convert banana-coconut mix into lemon sized balls.
- Brush the dough balls with ghee and roll a little.
- Place banana-coconut balls in middle and cover it with dough.
- Again brush little ghee over it and roll into thin chapathis slowly.
- Cook both sides in hot frying pan .
- Spread little powdered sugar over it and give a fold on it.
- Repeat the steps for each balls.
