Rawa cake or tharipola is a traditional teatime snack that is soft, sweet and spongy with crunchy Rawa bites. It's a type of Kums ,but here we use Rawa along with Kums batter. It's healthy and yummy, give a try upon it.
- Egg: 3
- Rawa: 3/4 cup
- Sugar: 3/4 cup
- All purpose flour: 3/4 cup
- Cardamom powder: a pinch
- Ghee or butter: 1 tbs
- Almond chopped: 1 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Beat egg with sugar and cardamom powder till creamy and fluffy.
- Now add in Rawa and beat for 3- 5 minutes.
- On other hand ,heat a non-stick pan or cooker with ghee.
- Fold all purpose flour with egg-Rawa mixture and pour on the hot pan.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes in very low flame with closed lid.
- If you are using cooker, then remove it's whistle and belt.
- When it's half cooked, garnish the top with chopped cashew or almond.(optional).
- After 25- 30 minutes, insert a toothpick in the centre. If it comes out clear, flip the cake , so allowing other side to cook.
- Cook for 5 more minutes and remove from flame.
Yummy, spongy and soft Tharipola or Rawa Cake is ready. Slice and serve with a cup of tea.
