Idli Kurkure

We can convert the left over idli into simple delicious dishes. That means if we have some idlis left from breakfast, we can convert it into awesome teatime dishes. Here comes one among them . Try and enjoy.

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Idli: 6-7
  2.  Dry Red chillies: 4-5
  3. Peppercorns: 1/4 tsp
  4. Garlic: 5 pods
  5. Jeera: 1/4 tsp
  6. Asafoetida: 1/4 tsp
  7. Curry leaves: 4 stings
  8. Salt: to taste
  9. Oil: 1 tbs + for deep frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Wash and dry curry leaves.
  • Now add dry red chilly, peppercorns, garlic pods, jeera and 2 stings of curry leaves in a blending jar and powder it coarsely without adding water.
  • Cut idlis into bitable pieces and fry them into golden color in hot oil.
  • Now heat a pan with 1 tbs oil and saute asafoetida in it.
  • Add curry leaves and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add in prepared masala powder and roast it for 30-60 seconds.
  • Now add the fried idli pieces , combine well.
  • Sprinkle little salt if required and serve hot.
Awesome Idli Kurkure is ready. Serve hot with a cup of coffee.
