Beetroot chips

Let us try on this delicious healthy and crispy beetroot chips. Beetroot is one of the nutritious vegetable. A crispy snack prepared with beetroots tastes great and healthy with a cup of tea or coffee.

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Beetroot: 1medium
  2. Besan flour: 3 tbs
  3. Rice flour: 2 tbs
  4. Asafoetida: 1/4 tsp
  5. Cumin seed: 1 tsp
  6. Chilly powder: 3 tsp
  7. Curry leaves: 2 strings
  8. Salt: to taste
  9. Oil : for deep frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • wash and peel the skin of beetroot.
  • Cut into 4 equal pieces and slice it into thin slices using a slicer.
  • Mix besan flour, rice flour, asafoetida, chilly powder, cumin seeds, salt in a bowl. Also add chopped Curry leaves.
  • Add beetroot slices in flour mix and slowly fold.
  • Add 3-4 tbs water and mix slowly to coat the slices in flour.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add the slices individually. And fry them till crispy.
  • Donot overload the pan, which may not allow the slices to crispy.
Delicious healthy and crispy Beetroot Chips are ready, serve hot with a cut of tea.
