Murukku or thenkuzhal is a delicious healthy and crispy snack prepare with a combination of white rice, chana and moong dal. Give a try on this lovely and wonderful snack. Here i made sticks, if you want you can convert them into any shape.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- White rice: 4 cup
- Chana dal: 2 cup
- Moong dal: 2 cup
- Cumin seeds: 2 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: for frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Wash rice, and dals , drain and allow it to dry.
- Powder them use a mixer jar and mix well.
- Now add cumin seeds and salt and mix well.
- Now prepare a smooth dough by adding water.
- Heat a pan with oil for deep frying.
- Take a sev nari or idiyappam press, place a disc with star hole and fill it with the dough.
- Now roll out the dough from sev nari directly to hot oil .
- Fry them till all sides get cooked for turns brownish.
Delicious, crispy and healthy snack is ready. Store in airtight container for longer crispiness and use.
