Here comes a mouthwatering chicken gravy recipe with a lovely flavor of capsicum. Capsicum is sauted along with onion and tomatoes and are blended to paste to bringout the delicious gravy. Give a try on this simply delicious chicken recipe.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Chicken: 1 kg
- Onion: 2
- Tomato: 3
- Capsicum: 2
- Ginger garlic paste: 1/2 tbs
- Chilly powder: 2 tbs
- Coriander powdee: 2 tbs
- Garam masala powder: 1 tbs
- Lemon juice: 2 tbs
- Tomato ketchup: 1/4 cup
- Fennel seeds: 3/4 tbs
- Salt: to taste
- Coriander leaves: some
- Curry leaves: some
- Oil: 3-4 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Cut chicken into small pieces, marinate it with 1 tbs chilly powder, 1/2 tbs garam masala powder, lemon juice and salt.
- Cook the chicken with marinade in pressure cooker for 3-4 whistles in low flame.
- Open the cooker after it releases pressure by itself.
- Heat half of oil in a pan and saute chopped onion and capsicum in it.
- When they turns soft, add in tomato pieces and cook till it gets cooked.
- Transfer them into a plate, allow it to cool and blend to smooth paste.
- Heat remaining oik in a pan, sputter fennel seeds and then saute ginger garlic paste and curry leaves till they releases its rawness.
- Now pour the blended paste, and cook for 8-10 minutes by stirring occasionally.
- Add in remaining spice powder, tomato ketchup, salt and cook till oil sems seperated.
- Now add in chicken pieces along with gravy in it.
- Add little more water and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
- Add in coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
Delicious Capsicum Chicken is ready. Serve hot with anything.
