Chicken Korma

Chicken korma is a delicious creamy chicken gravy recipe that goes smoothly with any dish. Addition of cashew-almond paste bringsout a lovely texture to the gravy.It is a lovely recipe with common ingredients and are easy to prepare. Give a try on it.




INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Chicken: 1 kg
  2. Onion: 3
  3. Green chilly: 3
  4. Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbs
  5. Chilly powder: 3/4 tsp
  6. Coriander powder: 2 tsp
  7. Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
  8. Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp
  9. Yogurt: 1/4 cup
  10. Cashew: 10
  11. Almond: 10
  12. Milk: 3 tbs
  13. Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
  14. Ghee: 2-3 tbs
  15. Coriander leaves: little
  16. Salt: to taste
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Marinate chicken pieces with turmeric powder and yogurt for 30-45 minutes.
  • Soak almond and cashew in milk for 10 minutes. Grind them into paste.
  • Boil ghee in a wok, sputter cumin seeds in it.
  • Now add chopped onion and saute till it turns light brownish.
  • Now add ginger-garlic, green chilly paste and saute till its raw smell moves.
  • Now add the marinated chicken   and saute for 5-6 minutes.
  • Add cashew-almond paste and cook for another 3-4 minutes by stirring.
  • Add chilly, coriander, garam masala powder and saute till a pleasant aroma comes out.
  • Now add 1-1&1/2 cup of water, stir well and cook till chicken gets cooked in low flame with closed lid.
  • Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
Delicious Chicken Korma is ready. Serve hot.
