Here comes a wonderful chaat or salad recipe with Tandoori chicken pieces in combination with few other ingredients. It is simple, delicious and quick recipe if we have leftover tandoori chicken pieces. Otherwise also, it is simple but takes little time for marination and cooking of chicken. Use of unripe mango pieces and chat masala brings out a lovely flavor to the chaat or salad.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Boneless chicken breast: 300 g
- Ginger paste: 1 tsp
- Garlic paste: 1 tsp
- Kashmiri chilly powder: 1 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1/4 tsp
- Chaat masala: 1 tsp
- Lemon juice: 2 tbs
- Butter: 2 tbs
- Mustard oil: 2 tsp
- Yogurt(drained): 1/2 cup
- Green capsicum: 1 small
- Red capsicum: 1/2 cup
- yellow capsicum: 1/2 cup
- Onion: 1
- Green mango: 1/2 of 1
- Green chilly: 2
- Coriander leaves: 2 tbs
- Salt: to taste
- Skewers: 2
- Soak skewers for 15 minutes in water.
- Line the chicken pieces using a knife.
- Combine kashmiri chilly powder, garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste, drained yogurt, 1 tbs lemon juice, mustard oil and salt.
- Marinate the chicken pieces with this marinade and keep refrigerated for 2-3 hours.
- Preheat oven to 200 degree celsius.
- Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and place it in preheated oven.
- Cook it for 10 minutes.
- Brush butter over the chicken pieces and again cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Allow it to cool little .
- Cut the chicken into pieces.
- Finely chop green chilly and coriander leaves.
- Chop unripe mango into cubes.
- cut all other vegetables into thin strips.
- In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces, Sliced onion, green chilly, red,green and yellow capsicum, mango, coriander leaves, lemon juice, chaat masala and salt.
- Mix it well, add to a serving bowl and serve soon.
