Pineapple triflet is a delicious layered pudding which can be prepared easily.It is one of the enlightened version of simple milk-chinagrass pudding. Three layers are made with biscuits, cooked pineapple, dates and almonds . They are covered with milk chinagrass mixture and are allowed to set, cut and serve. It is a simple pudding recipe with great taste with the presence of layered ingredients.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- Pineapple: 1/2 of 1
- Milk: 500 ml
- Condensed milk:3/4 tin
- China grass: 10 g
- Sugar: if required
- Marie / digestive biscuits: 10-12
- Dates, almonds, cashew: 1 cup
- Soak china grass in 1/2 cup water.
- Cut pine-apple into small pieces, cook with 2-3 tbs of sugar till whole water dries up.
- Boil milk with condensed milk. Add sugar if required, but do remember that we are using dates and pineapple cooked with sugar which contains sugar.
- Melt soaked chinagrass.
- When milk-condensed milk starts boiling, mix melted china grass in it, stir well to get mixed.
- Take care while adding chinagrass to milk to have same temperature to both mixture.
- Turn off the flame and keep aside.
- Now take a pudding tray, make a layer of biscuits. You can keep the biscuits as itself or by broken pieces.
- Make a second layer with cooked pine-apple and third layer with dates, almonds and cashews.
- You can add any dryfruit with dates to third layer.
- Pour milk-china grass mixture over it and allow it to set in refrigerator.
- Garnish the top with your choice.
