Lentil Fritters / Parippu vada

Lentil Fritters or parippu vada is a delicious teatime snack prepared with chana dal and few other ingredients They can be prepared quickly and easily if we have soaked chana dal. They are crispy and lovely, and we can adjust the spiciness. It is favorite for most of us.Give a try on this recipe to cook lovely Fritters from home.


INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Chana dal: 500 g
  2. Green chilly: 15
  3. Ginger(finely chopped): 3 tbs
  4. Curry leaves: 3 strings
  5. Asafoetida: a pinch
  6. Salt: to taste
  7. Oil: for frying
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Soak chana dal for 2 hours, drain and crush it using a mixer jar. Donot powder it more.
  • Now add green chilly, ginger, asafoetida and salt to the jar and again run the jar to crush the ingredients and get combined.
  • Do not grind it more. We just need all ingredients crushed.
  • Chop curry leaves and mix it with the above ingredients.
  • Now take lemon sized balls and flatten with between your palms.
  • Fry them into golden colors in hot oil in low flame.
Lovely and crispy Lentil Fritters or parippuvada is ready, serve hot with chuttney and a cup of tea.
