Steamed rice cake is a lovely breakfast or dinner dish . It can be prepared easily with few ingredients. Use basmathi or ghee rice while preparing this dish which tastes more than that prepared with white rice. Use coconut milk for grinding rice which enriches its tastes. You can also use grated coconut and water for grinding. We will get 3 or 4 layers if following the below mentioning steps.

- Basmathi rice: 1 cup
- Boiled rice: 1/4 cup
- Coconut milk: 1&1/2 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Ghee: little
- Soak rice for sometime, which will ease grinding.
- Add soaked rice, boiled rice and coconut milk along with little salt and grind to a smooth batter.
- Grease a tray with little ghee and pour 1 laddle of batter and place in preheated steamer.
- Cook for 5 minutes or till it thickens, brush little ghee on top and pour another laddle of batter.
- Repeat the steps for complete batter and cook for 15-20 minutes in low flame.
