Macaroni or pasta biriyani is a delicious biriyani recipe with macaroni and rice combined together in chicken masala. First we cook macaroni and rice separately and are drained, mixed with little ghee to prevent stickiness. Chicken masala are prepared as we do for biriyani , mixed with macaroni and rice and are cooked in low flame for 15 minutes in dhum. It is an easy , tasty and variant biriyani recipe, lets have a try on it.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Macaroni: 200 g
- Basmati rice: 1/2 cup
- Chicken: 400 g
- Onion: 3
- Ginger paste: 3/4 tbs
- Garlic paste: 3/4 tbs
- Green chilly: 4-5
- Tomato: 2
- Chilly powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
- Lemon juice: 2 tsp
- Kuskus: 1 tbs
- cashew: 2 tbs
- Curd: 1/4 cup
- Ghee: 1/4 cup
- Coriander leaves: 1/4 cup
- Mint leaves: 1/4 cup
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: for frying chicken
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Cook macaroni in water with salt, drain and mix with 1 tsp ghee. Don't cook more.
- Same way cook basmati rice in water with salt, drain and mix 1 tsp ghee in it.
- Prepare a smooth paste with cashew and kuskus together.
- Marinate chicken pieces with chilly powder, turmeric powder, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp garlic, 1 tsp lemon juice and salt. Keep it aside for 2-3 hours.
- After marination period, fry them in oil.
- Heat remaining ghee in a pan, fry 1/4 of sliced onion to golden brown color and remove it from ghee.
- Now saute remaining onion in same ghee till it turns to light brown color.
- Now add ginger-garlic and green chilly paste, and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add tomato, ground cashew paste, saute well.
- When it is done well, add curd, lemon juice, salt and mix well.
- Now add chicken pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes by stirring.
- Add cooked macaroni, rice, garam masala powder,, coriander and mint leaves and stir to get mixed.
- Close the lid and cook for 15 minutes in low flame.
Delicious Macaroni Chicken Biriyani is ready. Serve hot by garnishing with fried onion, roasted cashews or raisins.
