Carrot Ladu

Carrots are lovely vegetable loves to eat at any time. Dishes from carrot are also awesome especially desserts and sweets. Here comes a lovely and simple carrot ladu recipe that tastes great. Give a try on this wonderful recipe, am sure everyone will love it if you are sweet lover.


Carrot Ladu


INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Carrot: 2 large(about 2-2&1/2 cup grated)
  2. Ghee: 2 tbs
  3. Milk: 3/4 cup
  4. Condensed milk: 1/4 cup
  5. Milk powder: 2 tbs
  6. Desiccated coconut: 2 tbs
  7. Cardamom powder: a pinch
  8. Cashew or pistachio chopped: 2 tbs
  9. Sugar: 2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Peel off the carrots and grate it.
  • Heat ghee in a thick-bottomed non-stick pan, saute grated carrot in it.
  • Saute till carrot softens.
  • Now add milk along with a pinch of cardamom powder and stir well.
  • Cook in low flame till whole milk dries up by occasional stirring.
  • Now add condensed milk and stir frequently till it thickens. Add sugar if you want more sweetness.
  • Now add desiccated coconut and milk powder, mix well and stir cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add chopped cashew or pistachio or its combination, mix well.
  • Cook till the mixture thickens and Comes together without sticking.
  • Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
  • When the temperature reaches the heat that you can accept, grease your palm with little ghee and make lemon sized ladus from it.
  • Roll the ladus in sugar to get a coating. It is optional, you can either skip it or garnish the top with your favorite .
Delicious Carrot ladus are ready. Enjoy its taste.
