Falooda

Falooda is most favorite dessert of many people. It is a dessert with nice combination of more ingredients. The main ingredients are vermicelli, rose milk, ice-cream, black kuskus or basil seeds. You can also enrich its taste with the addition of lovely fruit pieces or dryfruits. Here comes a lovely and simple falooda recipe which tastes great.




INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Vermicelli:1 cup
  2. Rose milk powder/ rooh afza/ strawberry syrup: 3-4 tbs
  3. Cold milk: 1 cup
  4. China grass: 10 g
  5. Basil/ black kuskus: 2 tbs
  6. Sugar: 10 tbs
  7. Red jelly : 1 packet( strawberry/raspberry/mango)
  8. Vanilla essence: 1/2 tsp
  9. Vanilla ice-cream: 5-6 scoops
  10. Green food color: 2 drops
  11. Cashew: 3 tbs
  12. Raisins: 2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  1. Boil 3 cups of water and  cook vermicelli in it. When it cooks, mix 4 tbs sugar and vanilla essence and turn off the flame.
  2. Allow it to cool and refrigerate.
  3. Soak china-grass in 1&1/2 cups of water for 15 minutes.
  4. Melt it in low flame and mix 4 tbs of sugar and 2 drops of green color.
  5. Pour it to tray and allow it to set in refrigerator
  6. Mix rose powder and 2 tbs of sugar with cold milk and refrigerate.
  7. Soak basil seeds in 1/2 cup water and refrigerate.
  8. Prepare red jelly crystal as indicated in packet and refrigerate.
  9. If you are preparing vanilla ice-cream click on ice-cream.
  10. All ingredients should be refrigerated before serving falooda.
  11. Dry roast cashew and raisins with little sugar and keep aside.
Serving

  • Take a long glass, add 2 tsp of basil seeds, then 2 tbs of vermicelli in it.
  • Pour rose milk upto 3/4th of glass.
  • Cut the green chinagrass crystals into small cubes and add some pieces to glass.
  • Add a scoop of ice-cream above it.
  • Top it with little red jelly crystals.
  • Garnish it with roasted cashew and raisins and serve soon.
Delicious Falooda is ready, Serve soon and enjoy its taste.
