Toffee Pudding

Toffee pudding is one of the most loving creamy pudding that i have tasted. It is simple pudding recipe which can be easily prepared except the time required for preparing toffee. We have to cook whole condensed milk in a tin for 30-45 minutes on pressure cooker to get toffee. The more we cook, more we get color for pudding. It is delicious with the crunchiness of fried bread pieces, roasted nuts and cookie biscuit pieces. Here we are not using china grass or gelatin.

Toffee Pudding

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Condensed milk: 1 tin
  2. Whipping  cream powder: 2 sachet
  3. Fresh / thick cream: 2 cup
  4. Milk: 1&1/2 cup
  5. Bread: 3-4 slices
  6. Chocolate cookie biscuit: 1 packet
  7. Cashew nuts: 1/2 cup
  8. Ghee:1-2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Place the condensed milk tin in a pressure cooker without opening, add water that covers the tin.
  • Cook it with lid closed and in low flame after first whistle for 30-45 minutes. Here i cooked for 30 minutes
  • When pressure escapes completely, open the lid and take out the tin.
  • When we open the tin we can see the color change to brownish like toffee.
  • Beat whipping cream powder with 1 cup of cold milk till it become creamy and fluffy.
  • Now add 2 cup fresh cream, prepared toffee, 1/2 cup milk and beat till it become creamy.
  • Remove sides of bread and cut it into small squares.
  • Fry it in little ghee till it become crispy.
  • Roast cashew pieces also in ghee.
  • Now take a pudding tray, prepare a layer with fried bread pieces and some roasted  cashews.
  • Pour half of prepared cream as second layer.
  • Next make a layer of chocolate cookie biscuit pieces and cashews.
  • Again pour remaining pudding over it.
  • Top it with anything you wish. Here i crushed 2-3 cookie biscuits along with little roasted cashew and topped the pudding.
  • Allow it to set in refrigerator for 4-5 hour or till it sets well.
Yummy mouth-watering Toffee Pudding is ready. Serve chilled.
