Gobi / Cauliflower 65

Cauliflower is a lovely vegetable that resembles flower florets. the dishes with it are mouth-watering. Here comes a recipe for Gobi 65 which is ever loving and can be eaten alone or with any other dish. It is simple recipe with few ingredients.

Gobi  / Cauliflower 65

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Cauliflower: 1 medium
  2. All purpose flour: 1 cup
  3. Cornflour: 1/2 cup
  4. Rice flour : 1/4 cup
  5. Chilly powder: 2 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder: 1 &1/2 tsp
  7.  Garam masala: 2 tsp
  8. Sugar:2 tsp
  9. Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tbs
  10. Tomato sauce: 3 tbs
  11. Salt: to taste
  12. Oil: for frying
For seasoning

  1. Onion: 1
  2. Green chilly: 2( slit into 2)
  3. Garlic:6 cloves
  4. Capsicum: 1 small
  5. Curry leaves:1 string
  6. Salt: to taste
  7. Oil: 1 tsp
   METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • Cut cauliflower into bitable floret pieces.
  • Keep it in a pan , fill water and cook it with 1 tsp turmeric powder and little salt till it cooks.
  • Take all purpose flour, cornflour, rice flour, 2 tsp chilly powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder , garam masala powder, ginger-garlic pastes, sugar, tomato sauce, salt everything in a bowl. Prepare a smooth batter with it by adding water.
  • Drain the cauliflower pieces and dip it in the prepared batter.
  • Fry the gobi pieces in boiling oil.
  • Take out and drain in kitchen tissue.
  • Now lets prepare seasoning.
  • Heat oil in kadai, saute slitted garlic and curry leaves for 1/2 minute.
  • Next add chopped onion and green chilly slits and again saute for another 1/2 minute.
  • Now add capsicum cubes and mix well.
  • then add fried cauliflower, mix well and turn off the flame.
Lovely Gobi/ cauliflower 65 is ready, serve hot.
