Chicken Lollipop

Chicken lollipops are lovely starter fried chicken from Indian origin. Chicken lollipops are usually prepared with the middle segment of the chicken wing or thigh.One of its two bones are removed, and the flesh on the segments is pushed to one end of the bone to get the lollipop shape. Now days , butchers are selling such pieces. They are then marinated with a thick batter for atleast one hour and are fried in hot oil. Lollipops are good starter. Especially Our kids loves to eat lollipops.


Chicken Lollipop


INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
  1. Chicken wings: 10
  2. Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
  3. Green chilly: 1
  4. Chilly powder: 1&1/2 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder: a pinch
  6. Cumin powder: a pinch
  7. Garam masala powder: a pinch
  8. Cornflour: 4 tsp
  9. Egg: 1
  10. Lemon juice: 1 tsp
  11. Salt:to taste
  12. Red food color(optional): a pinch
  13. Oil: for frying

METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Remove small bone of chicken wings and push the flesh to one end to get the lollipop shape. Or buy readymade.
  • Cut green-chilly into very tiny pieces.
  • Beat egg and keep aside.
  • Take a bowl and add chilly, turmeric, cumin, garam masala powders, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, chopped green chilly, lemon juice, food color and salt, mix well.
  • Prepare a thick batter by adding beaten egg,
  • Marinate the lollipops in this mixture for atleast 1 hour. 
  • Keep it in refrigerator for marination is better than that in room  temperature.
  • Boil oil in a pan and fry the marinated lollipops in it.
Lovely Chicken lollipops are ready , serve hot .
