Melt Away Fudge

Fudge is a smooth and soft sweet prepared with butter and sugar as main ingredients. It can be converted to different taste and flavors by adding additional ingredients. Here comes a delicious fudge recipe whose taste melts in our mouth. Its a combination of grated coconut, biscuits and nuts with chocolaty flavor. It requires nothing artificial, thus considered as a healthy and delicious sweet.



Melt Away Fudge Recipe

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Butter: 3/4 cup
  2. Cocoa powder: 2 tbs
  3. Powdered Sugar: 3/4 cup
  4. Egg: 1
  5. Grated coconut: 1 cup
  6. Crushed biscuits: 2 cup
  7. Chopped cashews: 1/2 cup
  8. Thick cream / milk: 1 tbs
  9. Vanilla essence: 2 tsp
  10. Grated chocolate: 3-4 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • In a thick-bottomed sauce pan, melt 1/2 cup of butter and mix well cocoa powder.
  • In another bowl, add 1 beaten egg, crushed biscuit, grated coconut, chopped cashews, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Combine cocoa-butter mix with the above mixture and combine well.
  • Pour it over a greased tray and cool it in refrigerator.
  • Now prepare the topping.
  • Melt remaining butter and mix remaining sugar, 1 tsp of vanilla essence and 1 tbs of cream or  milk . Cook till sugar melts and combines with butter.
  • Pour it over the cooled mixture in the tray and again refrigerate it.
  • Decorate the top with grated chocolate. You can also use melted chocolate for garnishing.
