- Basmathi rice: 250 g
- Grated coconut: half of one
- Urad dal: 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves: 1 string
- Oil: 2-3 tbs
- Salt: to taste
- Boil water (a little more than required).
- Cook rice with salt in boiling water.
- when it cooks , immediately drain the water off.
- Heat a sauce pan, add oil and boil.
- Splutter mustard seeds, then urad dal and curry leaves .
- Now add grated coconut and mix well.
- Slowly fold cooked rice with it and turn off the flame.
