Swiz Roll / Cake Pudding Recipe


Puddings and desserts are favorite and lovable for most of us. Cakes are also too delicious. Here comes a recipe for a delicious dessert with the combination of lovely cakes with yummy pudding and jelly.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION

  1. Swiz rolls/ cake rolls: 5-6 (based on your bowl size)
  2. Milk: 2 cup
  3. Egg: 4
  4. Gelatin: 20 g (you can use china-grass instead) 
  5. Vanilla essence: 1 tsp
  6. Sugar:1 &1/2 cup
  7. Strawberry jelly or any other red jelly: 1 packet
METHOD OF PREPARATION

  • Take a glass pudding bowl and arrange cake rolls on sides of the bowl.
  • You can also place a cake in the bottom of the bowl.
  • Now prepare strawberry jelly as per the directions in the packet and pour it to the bowl.
  • Its level should be half or below that in the bowl.
  • Allow it to set in refrigerator.
  • Separate egg white and yolk
  • Now prepare custard with egg yolk, milk and sugar by continuous stirring in low flame.
  • Melt gelatin in double-boiling method.
  • Beat egg white  till it foams well.
  • Mix melted gelatin and essence with beaten egg white.
  • Pour this to prepared custard and mix well.
  • You can just give a beat using egg beater to get smooth custard.
  • Pour this over the bowl with cake rolls and jelly.
  • Allow it to set in  refrigerator.
  • When it sets well, unmould and serve.
  • You can also garnish with chopped nuts or cream.
Delicious swiz roll pudding is ready. Serve chilled.
