Masala Puri is a stuffed puri with masala prepared by chicken, mutton or beef. It is breakfast, dinner as well as snack recipe which is delicious. Puri can be prepared either by all purpose flour or by wheat flour or a combination of both.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION- All purpose flour(maida): 2 cup
- Water: 1 cup
- Onion: 3
- Chicken: 4-5 pieces
- Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbs
- Green chilly paste: of 5
- Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder: 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves: little
- Coriander leaves: little
- Salt: to taste
- Oil: little
- Boil 1 cup of water with little salt.
- When it starts boiling, add maida over it and mix with a spatula, turn off the flame.
- Knead it hot to get a smooth dough.
- Cook chicken pieces with little salt, turmeric powder and pepper powder and chop into small pieces.
- Heat a pan, add some oil and saute onion with chopped curry leaves.
- When it sautes well, add ginger-garlic-green chilly paste and saute till its raw smell goes off.
- Then add garam masala powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix well.
- You can also add 1/2 tsp of chicken masala powder.
- Then add chopped chicken pieces and mix well.
- Add little coriander leaves over it and turn off the flame.
- Convert the dough into small balls and then roll it into puris of same size.
- Place one puri and spread the prepared masala over it.
- Cover it with another puri and fold the sides to get sealed.
- Fry both sides of puri in hot oil and serve hot.
- Repeat the steps for each puri.
Delicious Masala puris are ready. Serve hot.
