Choco Caramel Cake Pudding

Choco Caramel Cake Pudding is a delicious double layer combination dessert of Caramel egg pudding and chocolate cake. It is simple and quick recipe prepared by steaming or microwave. As we all are carving to have puddings and cakes especially kids, surely everyone will love this fusion dessert.  

INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
FOR FIRST LAYER
  1. Milk: 1 cup
  2. Egg: 4
  3. Cardamom: 1
  4. Sugar: 6+1 tbs
  5. Ghee: for greasing the pan
FOR SECOND LAYER
  1. Egg: 2
  2. All purpose flour: 1&1/4 cup
  3. Sugar: 3/4 cup
  4. Milk: 1/2 cup
  5. Sunflower oil: 1/2 cup
  6. Baking powder: 2 tsp
  7. Cocoa powder: 1&1/2 tbs
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  • First add all ingredients for first layer, that is Caramel pudding, in a blender and blend it to combine everything well.
  • Next we can prepare batter for second layer.
  • Sift mix all purpose flour, cocoa powder and baking powder and keep aside.
  • Now take a bowl and beat eggs with sugar till they foams well.
  • Now add in milk and oil and beat till they combines with eggs mix.
  • Now fold in flour mix without any lump.
  • Now take a steel or microwavable tray and grease it with ghee throughout.
  • Caramelise 1 tbs sugar and spread throughout the bottom of tray.
  • Here I am using steaming process, so took a steel tray, spread sugar crystals all over and caramelised by keeping the tray in direct flame.
  • Now heat a steamer with water and place the tray on it.
  • Give a stir on first layer batter we prepared earlier, pour it on the tray over caramelized sugar.
  • Now pour the cake batter over it.
  • Donot stir or mix. Keep it as itself .
  • Close the lid of the steamer and cook it for 30-40 minutes in medium low flame.
  • While cooking, it will form two layers, so donot stir or mix the batters after pouring on tray.
  • You can also microwave it by placing the tray over a tray with boiling water in microwave oven and bake at 180 degree for 40-45 minutes.
  • Take out the pudding tray from steamer or oven and allow it to reach room temperature.
  • Now remould the cake pudding and you will get 2 lovely and delicious layers of Caramel pudding and chocolate cake.
Awesome Choco Caramel pudding cake is ready. Chill and serve to enjoy this taste.
