Butterscotch pastry or cake is a delicious soft cake recipe with butterscotch flavor. Here i used brownsugar for preparing butterscotch cream, you can prepare it by caramelizing normal sugar in butter to brownish if brown sugar is not available. It is really yummy, give a try on it.
INGREDIENTS FOR PREPARATION
- Egg: 3
- Butter: 1/2 cup+ 1 tbs
- Milk: 1/2 cup+ 1 cup
- All purpose flour: 1 cup
- Brown sugar: 1 cup+ 1/4 cup
- Baking powder: 1/4 tsp
- Baking soda: 1/4 tsp
- Vanilla essence: 2 drops
- Whipping cream powder: 2 packet
METHOD OF PREPARATION
- Beat 1/2 cup butter with 1 cup brown sugar till soft and combined.
- Separate egg yolk and white.
- Beat egg yolk with vanilla essence separately.
- Pour egg yolk and milk alternately to sugar and beat till it combines well.
- Sift mix all purpose flour, baking powder and baking soda.
- Beat egg white till soft and peak.
- Slowly fold egg white and flour mix to beaten mix using a spatula.
- Grease baking tray with butter and pour cake mix to it.
- Place it in a preheated oven of 180 degree and bake for 20-30 minutes.
- Allow it to cool.
- Beat 2 packet whipping cream powder with 1 cup col milk till soft peaks.
- Take 1/4 th of cream from it and beat it with 1 tbs butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar till they combines well. It gives butterscotch cream.
- Spread whipped cream all the cake and pour butterscotch cream over it.
- Mix it with a fork to get marble effect.
Delicious Butterscotch cake is ready. Chill and serve.
